KONY 2012

KONY 2012 is a film and campaign by Invisible Children that aims to make Joseph Kony famous, not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest and set a precedent for international justice.

  1. The WSJ included a story today about the “Kony 2012” video today. Ben Keesey, CEO of Invisible Children, Inc., the nonprofit behind the campaign said that he believes that the video went viral because “young people were drawn to the story, and celebrities and other public figures promoted it through social media sites such as Twitter.” Looks like this may be the right approach in getting videos to hit their peak.
